PLEASE ENLARGE THUMBNAIL. Rusty, Blind and Deaf Extraordinaire. Am currently babysitting Rusty for some mutual friends. He definitely is an exceptional cat. He is 18 years old, blind and deaf. Sometimes, I believe he hears me and his whiskers do play a big part in his getting around in a large home. There are three levels. He sleeps on third level in living room, comes down to second level, kitchen area for his food and water, then to bottom level to litter box and water. Totally amazed at his ability to move around so easily. He is also very loving and greets me every morning in the kitchen with a Meowwww. Good thing he's vocal, as the first morning I didn't even know he was at my feet and would have fallen if not for that greeting. Certainly more careful now. Yes, the last time I had cats was about 30 or so years ago. Definitely a dog person. Have to admit Rusty is the exception.............D}
